Hot Holiday Toys: “TMX Friends” Ernie and Cookie Monster Top the List

A year after TMX Elmo was all the rage, TMX Ernie and his good friend TMX Cookie Monster are projected to be amongst the hottest selling toys during the upcoming holiday season.

In fact, Mattel is mirroring their strategy from 10 years ago when they followed Tickle Me Elmo, one of the hottest-selling toys of all time with Tickle Me Ernie and Tickle Me Cookie Monster toys.

It remains to be seen how effectively the TMX Friends will be able to ride Elmo’s coat tails this time around. It’s worth noting, however, that the TMX Friends will be sold for $29.99, which is 25% less than TMX Elmo’s $40 price point.

Thankfully, our kids have never been into this sort of thing. But if you’re hoping to get yours hands on the hottest kids toys this year, you’ve been warned. The TMX Friends are slated to hit store shelves starting this month.
