Chex Mix in Bed

Written by dad - 3 Comments

Oh, the joys of parenting… Our two year old is a huge fan of: (1) Chex Mix, (2) watching PBS in our bed, and (3) snuggling. And most of all, he likes eating Chex Mix while snuggling under the covers and watching PBS in our bed. The problem is that he’s messy (he’s two, after all) and, almost without fail, he sneaks off, loads up up a bowl of Chex Mix and then loads our bed with crumbs on a daily basis. So what’s my point? Nothing, really — other than to share the joy of crawling into bed each night only to be greeted by a bunch of crushed up Chex Mix crumbs.

  1. My cat threw up on our bed earlier this week. That is kind of similar, right?

    Good luck breaking that habit.

  2. No, Blaine, cat vomit is way worse. I guess this is just one more reason that kids are better than cats. Then again, our kids are also capable of throwing up in our bed. Just because they haven’t doesn’t mean they won’t.

  3. Well, thankfully it wasn’t messy so it cleaned up easy, and we just threw the blanket in the basement and put a clean one on the bed. The bonus there is that it meant less cat hair on the bed for a half a day.
