Money Madness @ FreeMoneyFinance
As you may or may not know, is running a “March Madness” contest for finance-related weblog entries. In late February, he solicited entries (up to four per site) and put together a huge tournament bracket. Starting last week, he’s been post batches of “games” that pit individual posts against each other in head-to-head competition.
Once the games are posted, readers get to vote, and the winners advance to the next round. Round 1 is now complete, and I’m pleased to announce that Raising4Boys and FiveCentNickel went a combined 6-1 (with a first round bye for one article). Here’s the breakdown:
Don’t Let Your Kids Get Ahold of Your Checkbook advanced with a bye
defeated
defeated

Teaching Kids the Value of a Dollar
defeated
Introducing the 401(kid)
defeated
Finally, was the only one to pull off a victory:

Buying Legos on the Cheap

Congatulations on great results. And good luck the rest of the tournament. Looks like my “conference” will need to submit a stronger slate next year:-) My Wealth Builder was 1-3 in round 1, with two losses to your excellent posts.
