Amazon Taking Pre-Orders for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
I just heard that Amazon.com is now taking pre-orders for the seventh and final installment in the Harry Potter series, which will be titled Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It’s currently listed at $18.89 (down from the $34.99 list price), and they guarantee that they’ll automatically adjust what you pay if the price drops between now and when the book is actually released. The scheduled release date is July 21st, 2007 and, if this works the way it did in the past, Amazon will actually ship your book ahead of time such that it arrives promptly on the release date. Of course, you could always go wait in line to by it at midnight if you want it a few hours earlier, but this is way easier.
And if you’re the type that just can’t get enough of Harry Potter, and money is no object, they also have a deluxe version for $65. It’s unclear what the deluxe version includes, but it’s probably along the lines of the deluxe version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Yup, ordered mine February 1st when they first announced it. We have amazon prime, so get free 2 day shipping. Delivery estimate on my order says July 21st. We’ll be sitting on the porch the whole day waiting to accost our UPS driver!
