We’re a Two Pizza Family

Written by dad - Leave a Comment

Well, it finally happened… We just passed yet another milestone on our path to official “big-family-edness.” We are no longer a one pizza family. There was a time in the not-so-distant past when we could bake a frozen pizza, feed our family, and still have a bit to spare.

The other night, however, my wife threw in a pizza while I went out to mow and by the time I came back in (surprise, surprise) there was no pizza left. So I had to throw in a second pie for the first time ever. Part of the ‘problem’ is that our four year old has recently turned the corner with regard to his eating habits. On top of this, the boys are all getting older, and they’re also majorly active in the summer, which results in big appetites. Oh well, it’s going to get worse (far worse) before it gets better… After all, by the time our oldest son is a senior in highschool, we’ll have an 18 year old, a 16 year old, a 14 year old, and an 11 year old. Any guesses as to what our grocery bills will look like then?
