Like saving advice said, you can start small but then they get to wanting more money for their efforts. I told my daughter I would give her $10 per A and $5 per B each semester on her report card. I forgot how many classes they have. Now, I am not sure if the money really made a difference, as she is just a good student, but she sure on top of how much I owed her. My middle child is starting first grade this year, so we will see how it fares with her. Yea, I had my run in with this… and believe me, it works.
