Ann, I too loved your mother’s books – especially Rabbit and Up a Family Tree. I first read them when I was going through a hard time in my life, and they were a great boost to my spirits! I still pick them up once in a while, to enjoy some of your mom’s hilarious stories. God bless you and the rest of your family.

Message to the children of Teresa Bloomingdale, who I understand passed away about 9 years ago.

I had a mini correspondence with your amazing mother nearly 20 years ago. I have copies of my letter to her and her response to me. I would be happy to send them to you, if you’re interested. Do you have a photo of her that you can upload to the internet?

Back in the seventies when I wrote for either Annals of St. Anne or Family Digest, I don’t remember which you also wrote articles for them. Enjoyed reading your then, and immensely enjoyed your book. Loved the quote at the top of this page. Am also a grandmother now, too. Thanks for your humor. Pat

I agree with Louise Plaskett, previous guest book commentor. If you are the same woman who wrote “I should have seen it when the rabbit died”, awesome!!!! you and Erma Bombeck were two of my favorite authors!!! I write a monthly column at the Inkwell Newswatch, the ‘Education Top 10 Resources’. The two of you women inspire me! (Erma and yourself, god rest her soul!) (I am a 45 year old mother of 2 children, a boy and a girl… well, ahem.. a 18 year old and a 20 year old… I guess, it’s more accurately described as a young woman and a young man…)

If you are the same Theresa Bloomingdale who wrote *I should have seen it coming when the rabbit died* I love you. When my three little boys were born, when I couldn*t go back to sleep after nursing them, I read your books, and loved every minute of them. I loved your love of your family, which shines through every page of your books. I brought up three boys, not very well I*m afraid, started out well but had a breakdown and gave up half-way through but God has restored me by His Word, and two grand-children are on the way. Praying that He restore also my three beloved little boys now men. I got out your book today, all torn and used, and started to read it again, God bless you for your honesty, love, and reality. If I had had a friend like you when I broke down, I never would have. Louise
