We put glasses on our three-year-old this year for an early form of lazy eye. That was eight months ago; he is on his third pair of frames! Thank goodness we got the insurance! They are not the super-bendy ones; our optometrist them did not offer them for some reason, and we weren't aware of them as an option. We have since learned. The next time we have to pay for frames, we are going elsewhere, and we ARE getting the bendy ones... We feel your pain.

Many times these are intended for adults - I've gone through 3 pairs in 1 year easily. "Scratch-resistant" apparenly doesn't include the gravel on playgrounds when playing tag ;) I’ve had glasses since the 2nd grade, and all I have to say about glasses for kids is -
